I agree with you. I also hate the Pats, but more than anything I hate the fans that jumped on their bandwagon after they won their first superbowl. I think that you should be a fan of a certain team and stick with that team instead of hopping around to whoever may be the best at that point in time. It is easy to like a winning team, but sticking with that team when they are losing is a real fan.

I'm guessing your a Indy fan? There an incredible team, especially their offense. Well, I am a Pats fan, and even though I'm 13 and a GIRL, I have watched every game since I was 3. All my family are Bears fans, but I have a weird attachment to the Patriots (it has NOTHING to do with Brady, I swear!) Anyway, I'm so truly dedicated, I know all the top passers, receivers, top sacks, hall of fame inductees, and every 1st string roster for the last ten years. I am not a bandwagoner for sure.
By the way, I hope the Colts win this week, though I can't believe they lost last week! Good Luck!

Amen brother.
As a true Bear fan for all my life, last year was definately exihilarating. I mean my team went to a Super Bowl, besides winning it obviously, what more could you ask for?
So many bandwagoners though hopped on the trail and they pretended like they knew all about the guys on our team and how long our city has been waiting for greatness, 1985 seems to be much longer than 22 years ago. More than half of the knuckleheads on here didn't know who Hunter Hillenmeyer or Mark Anderson were last year!
But now that the team is struggling, at least 1 good thing came of it. They all left for the Pats, Cowboys and those folks in cheeseland.
However, don't get me wrong, bandwagoners are annoying. And their knowledge of the game is close to none. But I'll take one of them being a Bear fan over a loyal cheesehead anyday. I'm sure it's not the case for all of them, but Green Bay fans are just so arrogant! The team has sucked for the past couple years and they finally shut up about acting like Brett Favre was the Messiah but now they won't shut up! It's like they think they are going to win the Super Bowl! Can't wait until the Cowboys or Giants hand them a new one in the playoffs. From as many experiences with them as I had, they are the most disrespectful fans in the game, love for their team is no excuse for the crap they pull. You think Oakland or Dallas is bad, just wait.
I can always say one thing though, we beat them this year in Lambeau!
I can handle a brainless bandwagoner but Packer fans are just ridiculous. Do you think you seriously say you'll take a 'Skins fan over a Cowboy bandwagoner?

A loyal fan, I can respect any loyal fan of any team. I know some Cowboy fans who were fans when the boys were 1-15. I have been a Patriot fan for 25 years, through the good and the bad.

Thank you :)
I appreciate the lifelong fans of any team, there are many on this site, who are about 12 years old (or behave that way) who think, because they've watched thier team for 2 or 3 years, they are lifelong... get back to me in about 10-20 years ...
I've been a fan of the Patriots, since 1972.... I don't much care for the bandwagon fans either... but, it's something that happens... I've seen my team thru some mighty lean years.. .it's fun to see them winning ... and I'm going to enjoy it.. every minute of it..

ive been a steelers fan since i was 6 (in 20's now). i have always loved and supporte them through the couple bad years they have had. i will say though, that i started out a steeler fan as a bandwagon fan, which i completly hate seeing today (badwagon fans). However, i think i have disposed of that label by staying true to them and not moving away to a different team like most. the thing that pisses me off is how the steelers are one of the most popular teams today just because of there 04 and 05 seasons, unlike when it was around there 03 season(6-10).

Yeah, I feel the same way. As long as they're a true fan, it doesn't matter what team they like. I'm a Packer fan. It would be more insulting to me to see someone suddenly start liking Green Bay now that they're 8 - 1 than it would be to see a true, loyal Bears fan. I'd rather talk to the Bears fan.

There are ALOT of true fans of their team out there....As a Patriots fan, I cringe alot at some of the comments people make....Makes alot of us look bad....We have a coach that does that for us...Do we really need to add to it...
I really don't dislike ANY team... Although, they're are some players I really don't like......
But any true fan of the game, appreciates good football, whether it's being played by they're team or not.....
I agree the "bandwagoners", are irritating to all of us who sat and hoped beyond hope that we might have a chance against the Bears back in 1986...LOL Wonder where they where then...Probably watching that stupid (no offense Bears fans) "rap" video.....LOL

I think that is the perfect definition of a true fan. I have been a packers fan for about 5 years (im only 13) even though they really sucked during most of those 5 years.

I am a huge bears fan. No matter the season, I will be their fan. They could have been unable to win a game until this point and I would still follow them as if they were champs. If someone tries to tell me that my team sucks, I will pull every stat out of my a*^ and every showboating tune that ever came out of their player's mouth and use it against them. Nothing beats the grassy green at soldier field. It's where the warriors play in extreme weather, grasping the turf until their knuckles turn white, playing and fighting for every inch, splitting the posts for a victory.
My team is DA BEARS. My home is Soldier Field.
Why should I get a thumbs down for being a fan of my team?
