Your metabolism increases by 20% from what I read. So I guess if you don't eat 20% more than you were, you could lose weight. I had to eat constantly to keep from feeling sick and gained about 10 in the first trimester. But it didn't start coming on until about 8-9 weeks.

All women are different your actually lucky i always put on weight and never lost in during pregnancy, But women are different and some lose and some gain but it is normal for a women to lose weight before she gains my sister-in-law done it with both of her kids and the babys were fine so dont worry about it if you want to just ask your doctor and see what he says. I hope this helps and i hope everything goes ok. Congrats on being pregnant, Take care, and godbless.

A lot of women do lose weight the first few weeks of pregnancy due to morning sickness. It is fine as long as you are eating enough for the two of you. Don't worry, you will start to pack it on soon =) I did not start gaining weight until well into my second trimester and still managed to gain 40 lbs. Congrats on the baby!!

You shouldn't loose weight but it isn't unheard of. You have 31 more wonderful weeks to gain a whole bunch of weight though so you need not worry. Take everything day by day and love every minute of it because it goes by super fast and if you have anything you want to do make sure to do it. Like seeing movies and going out to eat and most of all have fun oh....and may I recommend pictures of the belly stages? Have a great pregnancy and congratulations!

most people don't notice weight gain in pregnancy until halfway into their second trimester, if your losing weight its because of the morning sickness.

I think that you should see a nutritionist and let them determine your diet.... you are eating for two so keep in mind that you want a healty pregnancy and a healthy baby...
