Ah yes, the "27 club." Well, it's always impossible to tell what really could've happened, but the Jimi Hendrix Experience was breaking up at the time and there's speculation that so was Nirvana when Kurt died. Then there's also Cliff Burton (would Metallica have created the Black Album and become a heavy country/alt rock band in the mid 90's had he survived the bus crash?), John Bonham (what Zeppelin could've done in the 80's we'll never know), Bon Scott (would AC/DC be as legendary had the singer not drunk himself to death?), of course the list goes on but it's definitely a fascinating subject. Then there are guys like Nikki Sixx and Slash who have miraculously escaped death, what would've happened if they had actually died from their drug overdoses?

I am a fan of Kurt & Jimi-- pained loss. Do not care so much 'bout the other two.

They shinned bright and burned out fast. It is the "Rock Star" thing to do. I was sad when Joe Strummer of the Clash died of a heart attack, but it was an un-Punk like way to go.

WHY IS IT THE GOOD DIE YOUNG?!?!

I bet in a parallel universe, all of those musicians and then some are still alive, and the world is just a happy place.

I wish I could live there. =|

well if u have kurt cobain up there u need to change your heading cause kurt was not a good guitarist any beginner could play his stuff so he helped the music world by dying. but i think the music would be completely different if the other 3 had not died. and imagine if cliff burton never died or dimebag darrel never died even randy rhodes its would be better

OR.... maybe they would've burned out....
self-destructively imploded...
made a public mockery of themselves...
thereby destroying any possibility of legend-like status...

*just throwing hypotheticals. i don't mean to be a buzzkill...
but if you believe in destiny, maybe that's the way it was meant to be...
