I've equated the pain of the tearing of the hymen to be that of the feeling of stubbing your toe. After the initial few choice cuss words it doesn't hurt too much, but it does throb a little.

Since you've never masturbated, it'll probably be somewhat painful. If your hymen is still intact (can be broken from wearing tampons, physical activity such as sports, ect), you may bleed during/afterwards.
It really depends on the person and the circumstance.

I lost my virginity when i was 16, i'm very small and petite and i rarely masterbated before i had sex for the first time. Of course after i lost it, i later learned that if you DON'T masterbate before your first time.. its going to hurt alot more. It was painful, but not as much as you think it will be. I thought it was a huge deal and that it was going to be OHH MYY GOD EXTREME PAIN- but its nothing like that. Its just uncomfortable pain.. your first time isn't going to "feel good"- atleast it didnt for me. I didn't start enjoying sex untill my 3rd or 4th time..
Whatever you do- just be safe and use protection. don't be dumb!

If you have never masturbated and broke your hymen then it may hurt just a tad. I dont remember it hurting very much but I know sex wasnt fun when I was young

well, it really depends on how thick your hymen is. for some girls, its thin so when penetration breaks it, it doesnt hurt that much. sometimes its thick, so itll hurt like hell.
personally for me, there was blood everywhere. it looked like a massacre had taken place. and it hurt a LOT. but after the first time, its fine

it hurt me incredibly bad, but that is because i had such a thick hymen that i had to go get surgery, yes. Surgery, in order to actually have sex with my husband.
it was well worth the wait however.
every woman's hymen is different. your friend likely had pain because of the thickness of her hymen. maybe she didn't need surgery, but the thicker it is, the more it will hurt.
MOST women have the regular "thin membrane" hymen, and you are likely one of the normal ones.

It depends on the individual. If you are really into it at the time and begin with foreplay that should make things a little better. It didn't hurt allot for me though.

If you're well lubricated and/or you guys use lubrication and he enters you slowly and lovingly - you should be fine. If you're extra small and he's extra large, it could hurt a bit, but make sure you communicate and he stops if it hurts too much.

all my friends have told me that yeah it does hurt a lot, and most of them bled a little bit. don't worry too much though, if the guy you're thinking of having sex with is a good guy he'll take it slow and most likely minimize the pain. xoxo

A LOT.
using a lot of lube will help though.
It took me and my boyfriend 2 or 3 times before he could actually fit inside me LOL
i would recommend KY lube though
