I have worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge. When I started out, I didn't have much information and spent countless weeks, months and even years learning the ropes by trial and error. I know how valuable information and resources are to people who are starting out from scratch. So I recently decided to use some of my spare time to create a blog with Disney Channel casting notices, audition information, information on getting an agent, demo-reels, resumes, etc. There are far too many scam artists out there who take advantage of those actors who are trying to make their dreams come true. The information and casting notices I provide are totally free and legitimate. Hopefully I can save some people a few bucks and a lot of footwork.
(I have also created a sister-site Hannah Montana Auditions, and a general Acting Auditions site)
Sincerely,
Alan Baltes

Get some training, take classes even go to college for it. Then get a headshot, mail it to casting directors, and go to auditions. You'll need an agent.
Be ready for failure and rejection. There's more of it in this business than in any other. Keep optimistic, and don't let all of the "no's" get you down.
Most importantly!! This is something they don't teach you in college when you major in theatre. BUDGET YOUR MONEY! You are your own business when you're an actor, teat yourself as such. Learn to budget, learn to balance a checkbook, and save up. There is no money in this. What little you get you need to know how to use.
Break a leg.

Uh, move to the U.S. and audition for a show, novie, etc. when you're older. In New Zealand, though, you should brush up on your actress skills so you'll get the part when you're older.
Good luck!

I would say try to get yourself an acting job in new zealand for now, and then if you really enjoy it go to australia or to america. you should get yourself an agent to help you find jobs.
