Concentration camps were collection locations for all those people deemed undesirable (Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Political prisoners). Ghettos were also used to concentrate a city's population of undesirables but the camps were used as a supply of forced labor for German industry and it was easier to control the population if they were in these camps. Death camps were where those people who wouldn't be of much use for labor were sent to be eliminated. So many people were killed during the Holocaust that many people were just sent to death camps to keep the process moving quickly. Most of the camps were located in Poland.

Concentration camps are where the Nazis sent Jews, they were like prisons, except worse.
