I didn't even get my question loaded when they wiped it out!!!!! I asked if being a compassionate, empathetic, caring person was the way to go in life or does it serve you better to stave off disappointment and be selfish and not have to care about anyone else? Your thoughts please? (I'll get this in one way or another!)

I just went back and looked at it, so it hasn't disappeared from my screen yet....but no doubt it will. You know what's happening, even if we don't like it. I do believe we may have gotten our point across. Keep at it!

I asked if anyone wanted a puppy? North Shore animal Shelter in New York received 900, (yes nine hundred) from a raid on a puppy mill. My daughter lives in NY and had taken a friend to the shelter whose old dog had died the week before. She said the woman was hugging a puppy she picked out and it was an aww moment. So I thought maybe one of the seniors who posts on here from New York might be interested too. But it was deleted, removed.
Then I asked if seniors knew where to get the cheapest gasoline, bam removed.
We seem to have trolls on seniors.

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I was an uncaring selfish person. Unfortunately I seem to run into rude thoughtless people quite often. I wonder do they realize how nasty they are, and how most people would rather have a root canal than deal with them. Can't be a good feeling when people run and hide when they see you coming. Kinda makes ya feel a little sorry for 'em.

I answered this question. I think it is a good one! To what I said before, I will add that I think we must run the risk of being hurt in our inter action with others, because the benefits much out weigh the risks. And in doing so, we stand the chance of both giving and receiving a blessing.

I believe in treating others as you would like to be treated. It does get discouraging when you always seem to get the short end of the stick, but I believe in Karma. What comes around, goes around. If in life you are a do gooder, then good things will come to you. If you walk around in life with your head up your butt always looking for the easy way out or the next break, you will get what you want for a while and the KARMA will come bite you in the butt!!!

I answered you question and it was there right before I clicked on this one. I've seen others say sometimes it takes awhile for them to come up and they end up posting twice.

I think we should all do our best to be compassionate, empathetic and caring towards others, it's how I'd like them to be towards me.

I thought I just answered that question.

it might have taken longer to load than you expected.

I have had question that over 5 minutes to load,

but to answer you question, I think that those with these traits are the unsung heroes, that take time to care for others, and there are not enough of them in the world,

The mind becomes clear and serene when the qualities of the heart are cultivated: friendliness toward the joyful, compassion toward the suffering, happiness toward the pure, and impartiality toward the impure.

This is almost like asking who's better Canadians or Americans. Canadians are compassionate ans caring, and Americans have a huge problem with greed and selfishness.

I think it is better to go through life caring and compassionate. Not caring about others is totally immoral.

I would prefer to live my life caring about someone other than myself. It is most rewarding. As I have learned through the years, life is going to be full of disappointments. To live a life without caring for someone else seems meaningless to me.

I tried being a good guy. Got my nuts crushed. I'm still not a bad guy, but I keep to myself. I sometimes need sex -- have the adult compulsion -- and simply use seduction techniques. There are enough women out there who want the same thing. As for issues in society, I vote. The rest of the time I'm here in my apartment. No one wanted me to leave it in the first place.
