Ahh, with the things i have gone through, i have tried every way in the book to stop myself from crying. When you are missing someone, what i found helps is just keeping yourself busy and being around people that make you happy, and perhaps just doing something you love. I mean if you just sit around, you are bound to think of that person, no questions asked. Think of the positives of your life at the time, and think about the things that make you happy.. then persue them. But if you feel the tears coming, just dont think about crying, because that will for sure make you cry. If you feel it coming, you just gotta quickly get that thought out of your head.
Setting all that aside, sometimes a cry is what you need when you miss someone. I know its not good to mope around and cry all day about the person you miss, but every once in a while we all need a cry, or else it tends to bottle up and worsen. Sometimes even though crying makes me feel bad, in a way once i get it out of my system, i feel like i can be back to my normal self for a while and sort of be over it.
So whatever approach you are going for, i hope you stay strong. ;] we all goes through hard times, and though i dont know if its a love you are missing, or a death, or any other reason, but no matter what, we all feel this way in our life. Feel better! =]]

h8 2 say this but dont listen to box of rain partying will not heal your wounds i would say have a good cry try to keep in contact with them but dont mope around get out of the house even if its just little things like going for a walk if you can get a pet except for not a cat i would reccomend a dog they love you hope i helped hope u feel better

You have to do it in increments. Set aside time for crying and then go on with your life. When you feel yourself tear up, make yourself leave from wherever and have yourself another cry.

if its like a bf or gf u miss then you just need time to get over it by watching ur favorite movies and pigging out on ur favorite foods u also have to just think about the next person that will surely be coming and if its about someone that has past then i kno it sound cliche and doesnt seem like it works but thinkin about the funny things or ur favorite memories of them really makes u feel better

That's impossible, believe me, when my boyfriend left after he joined the army, I never knew that it was possible to cry that much and miss him more than anything in less than an hour.
