I found a great respect for it. It took a lot of guts for the writer to come out and tell people that and I think it is wonderful. I love the diversity that she is using and if people have a problem with gays or anyone that is different then they should be treated like a terrorist because living in America gives us enough freedom to be what we choose...and being gay does not hurt other people.

I could be wrong because I have never read one of her books, I have seen a movie or two. But she gets so much flack about it being witchcraft, do you think she said he was gay to get a rise out of people? Plus who cares about the sexuality of a character in a children's book?!!!!

I think it's insane how crazy people get over that. It's a book, he's a character. He's not really gay, because he's not real.
