All you have to do is see what looks like her. I had a tabby who was white and orange so we named it tiger. You just have to look at the cat and tell what animal or thing looks like her. Also for a girl tabby I think Ginger would be a cute name.

First, make sure it is a female. I had a kitten given to me and the person assured me it was a girl. I named her Gigi and then when I took her to the Vet the first time, the assistant said, "you might want to think of another name for this kitten, because it is a boy!" So Gigi became Georgie that day!

For those people who wonder why I couldn't tell it was a boy, it's not easy to tell when they are young. Even the vet said they had one there that they thought was a boy and didn't realize it was a girl until they were getting it ready to be spayed/neutered! They had to change their plans a little bit...so don't feel bad if you can't tell just yet!

My female cats are Sabrina and Miranda. - Have fun with your new kitten! :-)

I always try to think of a name that is descriptive of the animal... such as a color. Ginger would make a great name, or Callie for calico. But anyway, try to think of a name that's descriptive of the cat or it's personality. Best of luck!
