My life dream has always been to become the president, and I was wondering anyone knew any good steps to get their. I have always figured that to become president you need to find your way into the public eye, but how?

Just a little bit about me. Im a junior in high school and the top of my class. I have always tried to stay up to date with current affairs and our economic situation. Ive been told Im a good public speaker and I feel (atleast i hope) that i get along well with most people.

What are some steps to take in order to fulfill my dream?

Also by the way, I can consider myself an independent because i dont want to close my side off to good ideas for opposing parties and like to look at each election seperatley. On the whole I agree with one party much more but for the sake of not cutting off half of the possible respondees ill keep that to myself.

Well, you should go to college and major in poli sci, then follow up with law school. In the meantime, once you turn 18, do EVERYTHIGN you can to get involved in the public sector. Join a local board or commission, particularly a partisan committee like the Town Dems or Republicans. I know you're independant, but parties offer the tools you need, so you at least should START in party politics.

If you're as bright and charismatic as you say you are, you'll float to the top and get elected to town council in no time. Don't run for mayor- too much time commitment. Then become popular in your locality and try running for a State office, like State legislator. Get that law degree wrapped up and practice law while fulfilling your government duties, and keep making friends with the right people, and if you get enough support from the State party, they may support you in a run for governor or federal office (preferably Senate, but take what you can get). Then do it all over again... be super-active and get in with the right people, and be the smartest, the most charming and even-handed, and the most powerful politician you can be... and if the support is there, someday they may open that door for you.

Then all you have to do is convince the general public that you're the best person for the job, and you're in!

Alternately, you can get into business and become independantly wealthy and try to launch a presidency with your own money... but that tends not to work so well.

But your FIRST step is getting THE best grades (assuming your dad wasn't already president) and going to college to position yourself for a law degree (Ivy League is virtually a MUST... preferably Yale or Harvard- again, you'll need the best grades unless your family has legacy), and get active in politics. You can become active by registering to vote and inquiring at the town clerk's office about openings on boards and commissions, and if you hear about something you want, send a letter to the mayor or town manager expressing your interest and why you'd be an asset to the community.

It's a long road, but it starts now.

Get involved. Volunteer for a politician you like.
learn the constitution and how to debate. Fundraising skills is important too. Get a degree, do military service and once you do that you will be old enough to run for an office. Start small and work your way up. Make sure you dont do anything embarassing or illegal because it may resurface later on and that may discredit you.

You have just to do as Bush did:
Lose your common sense,
Lose your morals,
Kiss some Israeli buttttt,
Support Israel for all its crimes against humanity,
Launch the "new crusades" against other world countries,
Support corporate firms against global poverty and injustice,
Turn down any environmental conscious bill or global consensus,
Get hostile and agrisive to our allay in the world; France,Germany and many other countries,
Impose Neo-Cons way of thinking over every American way of life….
And vou ale….you will become the president…

Doesn't matter to me which party you lean towards. I still would have the same answer, which is more of a question.

Why would anyone want to be President?
