I was just wondering. I've heard that Michael Nesmith did something, but I'm not sure.

Amber K. is right...Michael Nesmith developed the format that would eventually become MTV in the late 1970s.

The very first video on MTV was 'The Video Killed the Radio Star' by the Buggles. On Aug. 1st 1981.
I remember watching it. The beginning of a whole new era.
