I started in 1999, and have gone back every so often up to trying the latest CD, kingdom reborn. Even though the graphics are better, its still antiquated. I think it will be shut down for good within 2 years.

Ultima Online was a pretty cool mmorpg. But the crowds got to me. Rude people, player hunters, cheaters, and so many people that there was no real "wilderness" left in the game to build a house.

But then I discovered there are free2play player-run servers for UO. Over 300 of them. Some were totally for rude people, some for player hunters, and some for cheaters. But there was also many of them which obviously agreed with my idea of a good server.

I finally found one that I like. Run by adults (husband and wife team). And they are quick to slam rude players. Plus its got alot of really cool new features (the wife is a programmer). And its got enough people to get together for hunting parties but not so many that I cant find wilderness when I want it.

I played UO. Richard Garrot who created UO has just released Tabula Rasa. It is a Sci-Fi MMO. There are a lot of UO players on that game. If I where you, I would check it out, the game is great and Lord British did an excellent job for himself.
