He's not, he was just indicted on 4 counts of perjury, and 1 of obstruction of justice.

They'll never be able to prove him guilty.

where did this countries compassion go? I know Bonds did something stupid, maybe he deserves to have his records voided; and perhaps he does deserve criminal charges. I don't know, I will leave that to the legal system. That said, what on Earth is wrong with the people who are demanding he spend 10-30 years in jail? OK he lied to the court, he lied to the people... so did a US PRESIDENT and he didn't even have to leave office. Clinton didn't deserve to go to jail, and neither does Bonds. Sure he messed up, sure he is not a very likeable guy. But if we sent everyone to jail who got on someone's nerves or made a big mistake... ALL of us would be in jail for one thing or another.

It's an issue of "I would never do steriods, so anyone who does should go to jail for 30 years." How about I find some mistake you made in YOUR life, and demand you spend 30 years in jail for that. Maybe you drove drunk, maybe you smoked pot, maybe you cheated on a test at the DMV or opened someone elses mail or whatever. YOU have made a mistake sometime in your life which could arguably lead to jail time; just be glad the people you've pissed off over the years with your bad attitude (which we all have from time to time) don't number in the millions.

If Barry Bonds was your brother, son, best friend, or even if you were him; would you then feel like he deserved to spend 10-30 years in jail? It's called thinking outside yourself, try it sometime.

D R U G S , P H O N E Y, L I A R & FOR THE DISHONORING OF THE GAME OF BASEBALL.

The Black Sox all lost their privilage of playing the game, for throwing a World Series.

Pete Rose for gambing.

Barry Bonds deserves to have an
asterisk after his HOME RUNS , better yet not even entered into the Book of Records.

He should be in jail for years because he is a lying pile of P00P. He lied to a Federal Grand Jury which is something you just do NOT do. Barry lied to the wrong people.
He is bad for baseball and SHOULD have his records taken away just like the Track stars and the biker guy.

I am amazed that any one would stick up for someone who has done something illegal? What matters here is the fact that his actions will reverberate throughout ALL of sports, from youth to amateur to pro. What are younger athletes going to say when it comes time to make a choice about drug use? "Well Bonds did it, and he's the home run leader, right?" It's a sad state of affairs when we condone lying and cheating by anyone, especially when sports are supposed to be about "sportsmanship". Are Bonds actions within that realm? Or is using performance enhancing drugs outside the ideal of sportsmanship.

If he is proven guilty by the evidence against him of him lying on the subject of using HGH he could face up to a 30 year sentence.

He MIGHT go to jail if he is definitely proven guilty for using HGH while playing baseball.

green d makes me laugh...hey buddy he lied to a FEDERAL GRAND JURY, that's his biggest concern not the HGH crap because most players in any sport are doing it anyway.
maybe he won't end up in jail because i don't think there's a jail cell big enough for his head!
