If this is a test question I think the others are right about canvas. I don't think that this was used in classical arts (clay, plaster - sculpture, yarn - weaving).
Thing is though that in modern art anything can be used. While it could be argued that canvas is used as a base in this one:
http://www.ursuladutkiewicz.com/?cat=6 it is also used to form the basic shape and colour, so I'd see it as part of the art itself.

I am sure some sculptor or other used canvas as an art medium, and not just to put paint on. I'd say they all can be used to make art. Actually I can't really think of anything which can't be used for creating art.
In comparison to chocolate, apples, cow licked salt cubes, blood, hubcabs and urinals to mention only a few items which have been successfully used to make art, your list seems to be rather conventional...

Of course you can! I've created a lot of abstract art with colored pencil. You can use all kinds of media for abstact art. In fact, abstract allows the widest range of media you can use! You can use acrylic paints on canvas to colored pencil to even a stack of empty plastic bottles, if you want to do a 3D piece. I find for 2D abstract, I like using acrylic paint on canvas because it allows you to create texture easily as well as mix colors smoothly, create sharp edges, etc very easily. You don't need a certain pen; in fact, I know some artists who just used a regular BIC pen. But I've found that quality Japanese pens work the best.

The canvas is not a media since it is used as a place to put the media. For example: 1. If you made a clay statue, the table where you display the statue is not involved in the art.

I would object to removing any of them. I can show you a couple of "paintings" or maybe they are sculptures where the canvas is the media, being cut and resewn over a frame.
similarly yarn is the media in textile art. everyone accepts clay and plaster.
This is the one I was thinking of

here it is identified with the artist

and a search of Google Images for canvas sculpture will yield a lot of results.

I am assuming that this turned up on some test.
Thought experiment: imagine that canvas..pushed, pulled, wired, stringed, perforated, starched and stretched....forming a giant eerily realistic bird that moves and swoops as you enter the gallery space.... in response to YOUR movements. The questioner may have thought that yarn is a correct answer, but in fact it has been used as an art medium. The questioner may not realize it, but the answer is, none of the above.

probably canvas; cause you paint on it rather than it being the work of art in itself - but I can imagine making art out of canvas too!

Canvas, because the paint is the media applied on the canvas.
