I am ugly...

I know that I've missed out on things because people can't accept the way that I look or walk and that's their problem. I was born with a blood disorder that left me with uneven skin, some people think that I've been burned, I also walk with a limp. That's because of a dislocated hip but that's also other people's problems, because the people that really care about me don't mind what I look like only what I act like. I may not be the most beautiful person in the world but I'm not the worse either and it matter's more how I treat people than how I look. People who can't get beyond the way someone looks is a very shallow person. I know I've had a life time of getting to know how people react to people who are different or who look different.

Do you really think you're ungly and if so, did you grow up hearing that from other people or is it something that you decided based on what you see/hear around you? I'll bet you are not "ugly" at all. You really should try to focus on great things about you...start making a list of positive things that people have said to you or about you over the years and start believing them.

To answer your question, yes, I have felt like I've missed out on things (not often) and I have thought that my appearance may have had something to do with it but not because I feel I'm ugly, maybe because I was perceived as someone that I was not (without them taking the time to find out who I really am) or maybe because I am an Asian woman. I don't know...but if you really want to experience things in life, you can experience them if you try to look at yourself differently and see yourself in a better light. Most of the time, it's not the appearance that will get you where you want to go...sure it seems like people that are pretty may get things easier, but seriously, your attitude and how you carry yourself will take you to places in life.

ugly is a stupid word. What exactly makes others beautiful and others ugly? I dont think anyone is ugly. I used to feel ugly and i used to feel like my friends got treated better because they were gorgeous, but instead what happened was people took them for granted because of their looks and they ended up with broken hearts.
Ur just a catepillar waiting to be a butterfly.(lol thats kinda corny but its true)

Yes. I have tried putting on black make-up, wearing a skirt, talking with a Scottish accent while riding a camel in downtown Budapest, but to no avail. I am always unmasked and rudely ejected. You have my sympathy.
Maybe you are not as ugly as you look. You are, at least, intelligent, which makes you attractive to me (and I am very choosy). Possibly, you are hideous on the inside?
