I'd like to see some level of religious tolerance, from all sides. Religious wars, racism, terrorism: It has to end somewhere and I don't like where it's going now.

Also, a greater effort in conservation of the planet and it's animals.

I would LOVE to see the end of some major diseases. What was the last thing really cured, Polio? It would be great if cures could be found instead of advances in ways to deal with the diseases. So, no more Cancer, HIV, AIDS, the Flu, Ebola, M.S., etc. No more disease, ever.

Of course, that might cause overcrowding... so we would also need to advance our space travel so we could find extraterrestrial places to live. Be it under giant domes on Mars or on an Earth-like planet with an Earth-like atmosphere.

Of course, we may encounter dangerous hostile aliens... so we would also need to advance our current weapons systems. Maybe not lethal, depending on the alien I suppose. Something like on Star Trek that you can set to stun. Just something to protect our frontiersman and first pilgrims. We'll need something strong enough to push those resilient aliens off of our newly claimed lands. After that we can build defenses on that planet and won't need individual weapons.

Of course, the human race on a separate planet might need a common set of rules, or laws, to live by... so Planet Earth would REALLY have to come together to agree on a core set of laws to govern those people leaving the planet. I mean, we can't have them out there killing each other and not paying taxes for the tea we send them, can we? No no no, we'll have to make sure they remain loyal to wherever they left from. We'll also need a way to punish those that break our laws. We'll just build a prison on Pluto; no one will really want to go there anyways, right? I mean, it's not even technically a planet anymore, is it?

It sounds like my progress is a slippery slope that really isn't progress at all... except no more disease, of course. I'm not very good at this game.

Well........we have a vast amount of intellect now. I would like to see us put it aside as it is now and concentrate on wisdom for the next hundred years.
Technology has outstripped our ability to handle what we already have properly, we've got to STOP and learn how to handle the vast amount of intelligence we have as a collective. We have to.
Smart and wise are two different things and right now we have an incredible amount of smarts, so much so that our computers(read cups here darlin) runneth over!!!
We have to find the wisdom to handle all that or perish in our own intelligence.
