theres a hole in my celing its like a soft kind how do i fix it?

Fixing the hole in the ceiling might be easier than determining what caused it and fixing that first; IE" ROOF LEAK/ Plumbing leak???

Once the cause is resolved patching is what you'll need to do; and you should probably expect that the best patch would at least span two ceiling joists/beams/rafters.

A piece of appropriate thickness of drywall; cut to size; attached; flush; taped; mudded, sanded; painted.

Just Spackle it up already...If the hole is too large get some sceen sheeting to back it..
