How much does a PS3 cost?
I live in the US, Florida.
How much is US dollars?
I was going to get it for my son on his birthday but wanted to wait until Christmas. Do you think it is too expensive to buy it for a 17-year old? I heard 7 months ago that its going to drop 100$ by october so it has dropped now obviously.

Yes he's been wanting this PS3 for 2 years now so I love to see his face when he unfolds the paper from the package. Got to make extra sure he doesn't find out. Thanks for giving me courage to go and by this, I will definitely get it for my son.

The 40GB PS3 costs $399 and the 80GB PS3 costs $499.
The PS3 isn't too expensive for a 17 year old. I bought myself a PS3 last year when I was 18, so your son is old enough.
The price on the 80GB PS3 has already dropped from $599 to $499 about 2 months ago and the price will probably remain $499 for a little while and wont be dropping anytime soon.
Your son will be the happiest person on earth when you get him that PS3. Trust me, I was blown away when I finally got mine in January.

As long as your son has an HD tv. Having a ps3 or xbox360 w/o hd is kinda like paying 400 dollars for a ps2. Hope your son enjoys his present ^.^ eventhough i'm an xbox360 player.
