I was heavy drug user for 25 years. I was getting into crack cocaine when I ended up in church one day.
1 verse from the bible saved my life :2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
24 hours later I was totally drug free, and 5 years later I've got no cravings, or desire to return to that lifestyle.

I know that God is real, no-one else could have done that with me. Almost everyone who knows me thought I would be a drug user til I died.

Since becoming clean theres not enough hours in the day to do all the stuff thats going on in my life, and I used to waste hours sitting in peoples houses waiting for dealers to turn up.

I've got a full time job, got married, moved into a house from a trailer, had a new baby, passed my 'bike test etc, etc.... the list goes on !!

Oh, yeah. Used pot for fifteen years. Stopped because I was living outside and couldn't score. After two years I did a slow double take. "What?" I said, "It can be like this?" Because it was starting to come back. Then for about six years it kept coming back more and more, before it leveled out. The difference between how I am now and walkin' around with tombstones in my eyes, is striking. As far as activities, I guess it went into my art and music, but you can do whatever you want with your own energy. It could take a while to start coming back, though.

i found myself in Thailand. i just hopped on a plane with a friend of mine who was married to a Thai woman and i just went. after a week there with no drugs other than cigs.,beer ,and women..............i found that i don't need anything else. this was 10 years ago and now I'm married to a Thai women. we both have good jobs, a home in California and a ranch style home in Thailand. the most important thing though is that i have my health back. i believe that getting away from the environmemt that your used to when your addicted to some drug is key to recovery. getv away and get your life back.

I heard of a woman in the news recently who was living on the streets due to drugs and turned her life around to become a teacher and role model to kids. They said she was effective, because the kids knew she knew what she was talking about when she said getting a good education was the way to go.

Um, I still occasionally smoke weed. I find it relaxes me, gives me creativity, and eases me from stress. Yes it also makes me forget things.

I have smoked for 7 years now. Say what you want, I weed hasn't ruined my life. I have two university degrees, have a great career, donate thousands every year to charity, I put time into lots of non-profit organization, and I even sponsor a child.

That being said, other than weed, I have tried other drugs. Those I do not recommend. Once was enough....not a bad trip, but I could see how people could be ruined by it.
