The Bolsheviks promised to end tyrannical rule and to restore national pride. The basis of their revolution was the work of Karl Marx. However, perfect equality is an utopian idea that doesn't account for human greed and ambition. Nevertheless, it is easy to see why the people were accepting of the political movement.
