I took a door off and went to put it in a different frame, it's the right size, but the hinges needed to be reversed. I put the new hinges on the door, cutting it to fit, but no matter what I can't get the door to close properly! It's always ajar and is leaning at a 5º angle, even though all the hinges are straight! Help!

Do the hinges sit properly in their beds? are the screws countersunk and the correct size? did you actually 'reverse' the hinges.?
Does the door actually fit?
If the door is hanging at an angle it is due to numerous reasons....but as your door is constantly ajar i would guess that your screws are not flush so the hinges can not close properly.
Make sure the screws are not 'poking out' from their beds as this will cause the door not to close correctly.

The hinged side of the door needs to be cut at about 5 deg. for the full length.
Then re-mortise the hinges.
If you look down the length of a doors edges that has never been planed you will notice one edge is actually angled at about 5 deg.
Since you've reversed the hinges the angle is now backwards. You can change this with a circular saw set at 5 deg.You should also use a rip fence which will ensure a straight line.
Give it a try. Take your time.

As one answer states did you check for PLUMB in the new Jamb?

Did you route or chisel the hinges to what you assumed was flush?

Did you check the door for Plumb after the install?

Have you considered Shims?

This is one reason,,,no offense meant at all; why door hangers can charge $75 per hour, for an install.

you need to recess the top hinge further in the frame ..or you need to pull the bottom one out a bit ..make sure the hinges are flush both with the door and the frame ..also check screwheads are not too big as they must also be flush

You either need to cut a deeper hole where one of the hinges are sitting or pad out the other with cardboard until you get the correct balance
