What date?

There are four possible methods:

Flying:
http://www.skyscanner.net
http://www.whichbudget.com

Taking the train:
http://www.bahn.de (site has an english language option, look for it!) Fare is 99 or 107 EUR one-way, travel time 4-6 hours, frequent connections roughly every 2 hours. Unfortunately both Deutsche Bahn as well as SNCF are currently on strike with no end in sight within the next week or so, but trains should be running in a few months time.

Taking the bus:
http://www.touring.de/
Fare is approx. 79 or 85 EUR return, 44 or 47 EUR one-way. Travel time is 9 hrs, bus runs once a day.

Ride share:
http://www.mitfahrzentrale.de
Very infrequent, but possibly the least expensive method of travel.

Check http://www.db.de/site/bahn/en/start.html

I just found a train journey Frankfurt to Paris (changing trains in Saarbrücken) for 39 Euros one way.

Apart from walking or hitch hiking that's got to be the cheapest going.

There are busses run by "Rainbow Tours" and "Gulliver Travel". You'll find these two companies in the German phone directory www.telefonbuch.de or www.gelbeseiten.de (yellow pages). They're not luxury coaches, but they're cheap. Possibly, you may catch a last minute flight at Frankfurt airport. That would be the best way to go.

@rostbif, Deutsche Bahn is on strike, so trains are not actually reliable. I'd take a bus or a plane.
