Furioso, I was hoping your beloved lions would roar just a little so far but no ... there's even a fair chance Murali won't go past the record if they can't get Australia to bat twice. So far this series I've had lots of afternoon naps.
Indian fans were hopeful this was the end of the Australian era and here we have two newish players smashing consecutive centuries. That is the depth they are up against. There are another ten batsmen here that would be selected in any other test team.
Indian bowling its strength? .... um I so don't think so. It has a long way to go. They can get there but they're kidding if they think they already have an attack that can do damage on even, high quality pitches like Adelaide and Melbourne.
They will need to take advantage of the slightly decreased Australian bowling attack with their batsmen living up to promise and hope to get lucky in the bowling department.

India has to play Bangladesh 35 situations in 3 years first to attempt to get the quantity a million spot returned. (poetic licence) We ought to bear in mind that Australia has gained earlier in India, Its India that has by no potential gained in Australia (or South Africa) and in straightforward terms beating a real 4 group away as quickly as of their history (England 2007 a million try) wont end India being minnows. The final 2 sequence (England & Australia) shows what India have consistently been like away against good communities and someway be in a position to disguise it up with smoke and mirrors. the answer is to no longer play ordinary communities away or play at residing house each and all of the time on pitches that tournament their authentic batsmen, thats paramount to cheating

Indians are now brimming with confidence after they have defeated Pak in India. But Aussies on the other side, would definitely take India as a serious threat. The game would be highly interesting as ever. But I have a feeling that aussies will be having slightly an upper edge.

Someone call for a reality pill for the Indian supporters, just because Australia have lost McGrath and Warne doesn't mean they suddenly become easy beats, have you seen the scores lately in the current test series, do you really believe you have the bowling power to destroy the Aussie batting line up?

Yeah, Indian batsmen "seem to be" in good form in their home series against Pak. But let us not jump on the gun a little too early. There are quite a few reasons why I say that.
1. Test cricket is a different ball game altogether. India is doing well in limited overs version as of now. Aussies are on a roll winning 13 matches consecutively.
2. The pitch conditions and other environmental conditions are different from India and Australia. Eventhough India's recent track record away from home has improved, its still quite a challenge to adapt quickly in different conditions.
3. Barring Sachin, Dhoni and Yuvraj, most of the batsmen in the team are yet to prove themselves with big scores. And moreover, it is doubtful that Yuvi will be in tests against Aus. Jaffer, Karthik and many will come in and it will be a new look batting order in tests. So, its not so good as we think.
4. We are playing against "Australia". They have a point to prove now, especially after the controversially concluded recent series against India.
All in all, a good series in prospect. I dont discount India out of the question, but in reality, against Australia in Australia, Well.....

Considering the present form of Australian Team, it will be very difficult for india to beat them and win the series. If India manage to win one or two tests, it will be a great achievement.

i think the team is to old, if u have to name Anil Kumble captain of the team at the age of 37 there have to be a few problems inside the team dynamics and i see that carrying over to onfield results. india dont like travleing to australia and dont want to blood new talent. i cant see them doing much in tests. one dayers they will become a bit more competitive though.

Though India is doing well right now,it is still somewhat far from matching Australia.
It is enough if they play well and put up a stiff fight. The results will follow

No. Apart from the fact that the aussies are a stronger more united team the Indians will not easily handle the hard wickets. Aussies pretty unbeatable at home.

they have a 50/50 chance!!! look India's strength is definatly in their bowling.if sachin comes out and marvels(as he normally does) they really might have a chance. But i think the team still needs batting aswell as bowling strength to win a match..sachin cant to everything ...remember wont be long till he retires'what are they going to do then?
