Yes and no. I haven't really adapted to it, but I've found many, many coping mechanisms. Unfortunately, no matter how many things I use to patch over my loneliness, it still hides down at the core of my being waiting to jump out whenever it sees a gap.

It's so odd because sometimes I want nothing more than to be lonely for acouple of minutes. But even if I'm physically lonely I never have complete loneliness.

Not totally. I am comfortable with my own company, and I am good at entertaining myself. I rarely get bored, and I am not afraid to go out to the movies alone, or to a restaurant alone, or shopping alone, etc. But, I am still better and happier when I am in a loving and committed relationship.. I have never been married, but always wanted to be. I just never found the right guy. I guess I am just a late bloomer. *sm*

I enjoy being single, but sometimes I still get lonely!
I'd enjoy having a boyfriend, if I could find someone that wasn't wanting to be attached to my hip!
My last boyfriend didn't survive our first date, because he followed me everywhere, to the bar, the loo, etc! It gave me the creeps!
I was married to someone like that once, and it only got worse, not better!
That's how I cope!
Whenever I remember what it was like with my ex, I realise how much better off I am on my own, until someone that isn't possessive and clingy and wants to have seperate time aswel as time together, comes along!

I do just fine. I must admit that I'm getting to that point when I'd like a man around again, but when I think about some of the bs that goes with it, I start to back down again.

The friends that I have keep me busy and laughing so much that I don't normally have time to feel lonely!! The times that it does happen it usually doesn't last very long!! I have been alone for so long now that I have gotten used to it!!

I guess I have because I'm never lonely.
I like being alone, I like it a lot, to the degree that people I've been in relationships with, or friendships with seem to have a problem with how much I like to be alone.
I prefer being alone most of time, i am at my most creative when alone.

We're all lonely for something we dont know we're lonely for. How else to explain the curious feeling that goes around feeling like missing somebody we've never even met?
