Sorry obviously going to ofend all pro-mccanns but why do you all feel so sorry for them, why doesn't everybody stop and think if they hadn't of neglected their children in the beginning, they wouldn't actually be in this situation, i'm sorry but any parent (and believe me, i do not consider myself a perfect parent), should think about their children before thinking about going out on the p and leaving their children on their own. I don't go out much now that i have my daughter but if i do i certainly make sure that she is left with a responsable adult. I certainly wouldn't leave her on her own. They as far as i recall have not to date actually said that they regret putting food and drink before their children.....

it was my wifes birthday tonight and we could not get a sitter, we stayed at home and are enjoying the evening with our children. just like 90% of every other normal parent would do.

I have said never ever said I condone the McCanns leaving 3 young children alone.I have also never said I agree with parents going out on the razz before putting their children's needs first!
All I have ever said is I will always believe in innocent until proven guilty and won't believe the McCanns deliberately or accidentally killed Madeleine without any proof and I won't join in the abuse spat at them. They made their mistake and their paying the price of having to live every parents worse nightmare.I do agree that it would never have happened had they not left her alone but,It's happened. Why go over the what ifs.?

Adam...You could be a decent person if you didn't try so hard to be pig!

No responsible parent ever would and although the McCann's like to push that it's a normal thing to do, won't take away the fact that they are guilty and fully responsible for what happened to their daughter and this sickening fact is the one that upsets them the most...........

ive heard all this before. move on please

edit. english rose. well said. absolutely spot on.
what some people fail to understand is that the mccanns did not callously leave the children to go out "on the lash" whatever that means. they believed the children were safely asleep in a safe environment. where they would come to no harm. they werent far from the room. as you rightly said , most of the antis are trying to prove their own superiority by condemning the mccanns. weird way of thinking on their part but its truel

Look leave the McFanns alone, they support child neglect themselves and obviously support other child neglectors, since they support the McCanns and 'Tapas 9'. Thats their right to do so, if they dont see anything wrong with child neglect there is not very much you can do about it except call the Police and Social Services if you catch any of them living near you..

I just hate the whole trial-by-tabloid that has ensued in all this. Can't they just let things happen and then report it once it has happened, rather than take a position on it and screw everything up?

I have never felt sorry for them. Not once have they admitted that leaving small children unattended in an unlocked apartment was wrong They seem more concerned with protecting their reputations than solving the case (presuming they weren't involved in the disappearance).

bobbaman: you say "even I, from a male point of view..." - God help any kid who has YOU for a father. "Even I" indeed. If any male doesn't put his kids' safety before anything else, he shouldn't be a father at all. ANy PARENT, not just women. Get real.
