People get too attached cos all they see are the good things that can happen and the beautiful things in people.
I keep thinking of why I wouldn't like a girl, how she isn't what I'm looking for. This way I'm more relaxed.

My mom was in the same position. I really think that if he is treating you that way you shouldn't be with him. It sounds almost like he only pays attention to you in bed and that's not right. Pluck up your courage and talk to him and if he doesn't agree or stop seeing those other girls.... dump him. He's not worth it. Maybe after you dump him he'll change..but if he doesn't, find you self someone better. NO ONE should put up with that kind of stuff. Maybe you should try marriage coucleing

Think of them as running a scam say like This one:

1. Offering you millions of dollars, all you have to do is pay a tax or transfer fee.
(They only want your bank details and they will then get whatever you have in there or use it to steal your identity.)
2. Any transaction through YOUR bank account.
(Again, they just want your bank account number.)
3. Beautiful girl or handsome man needs your help.
(Sex sells and sex scams. They use good looking girls and men (not real) to get you to send money.)
4. Check cashing scam.
(They send you a phony, forged or stolen check to cash and send the money to them. After your money is gone your bank will inform you that the check was bad and will take the money out of your account. So you lose all the money you sent them.)

NEVER give anyone your bank account number and especially anyone from Africa! And these beautiful girls on internet dating sites are not the real girls.

Or you can say your husband/wife wants you in one of your conversations with him/her.

Or you can fall madly in love with me and that will end all of your problems for no one could treat you with the respect and love that I would. ( just a thought) };~)

I usually either try to stay away from them or I think about what would happen if we were to go out or something and that usually stops the attaching thoughts

If you mean in the romantic sense, the best way is to not get into anything exclusive. If you are seeing/pursuing someone else, it keeps you from getting to infatuated with that person. It's hard to get too wrapped up in someone if they're not the only one in your life.
