why can't guys get purses?

Question

i mean.
women have it easy not to put stuff in their pockets and walk all weird about it. when a purse carrys everything from someone's wallet,camera,phone,checkbook, video camera,tissue boxes, and everything!!
so why people aren't making purses for guys?

They do ...."murses" are awesome. I'm so happy for men to have their own bags now too so I don't end up having to carry a grandma bag to hold all my junk + all the junk all of my guy friends inevitably ask me to hold for them all night.
Many stores such as Abercrombie, AE, The Gap, Banana Republic sell inexpensive man bags. Of course if you want to go the Coach, D&G, or Louis V. route they have bags for men too. And they really are from their men's line made for men's items not just a woman's bag that they'll sell to men. I think just stick to the more manly messenger bag style and stay away from anything that is too much like a woman's purse or clutch. I think that takes it from being kind of just metro to truly feminine looking.

I have an alternative for you since you're only 15 & I understand that while practical & stylish though man bags may be, you may not be ready to take on taunting from people about looking gay or at the least "metro." Just carry one of those drawstring sports sacks you can get at Finish Line or Foot Locker. My brother is the basketball team and he worries about being "macho" even though he's a little metro about some stuff. He just carries a Jordan brand sack to keep all his gear in & people think it's cool & always compliment the design.

I seriously think it is rad when guys use purses. Makes me laugh, but the more you do it, the less weird it will be. Rock the handbag, but I think purses are made for women because women wear skirts and dresses, which often don't have pockets, and then women liked the purses, so they used them even when they had pockets. But you could always use a briefcase, a backpack or the ever-popular man-purse. (As seen on Seinfeld and in Europe...) Or a tote bag.

I totally agree! I hate how men stuff their things in their pockets so they look all bulgy and unattractive. Even carpenters! They should so ditch those carpenter jeans and put their hammers in a murse aka man purse!
People ARE making murses! And I think they are HOT!... if the bag is nice. Of course there's that stereotype that only gay men carry murses. I hope this doesn't take you away from having on though.

I've been using a 'man bag' for years - I have 3 now. A small black 1 for evenings, and 2 larger (1 black, 1 ox-blood)!

They are so much better than bulging pockets with keys & phone & whatever else in.

You wanna think I'm gay or some such? Who's problem is that?

Well, if I was a guy, I wouldn't even get a man purse. It's just because other guys will think your...well, girly, lol. I don't like purses, I like knapsacks becuase they are comfy and can hold tons of stuff!

if men carried purses people might think they looked ever weirder than if they have stuff in their pockets. but you could get one just to be different in the world. everyone is different and if you carried a purse, that would be one of the things that makes you different in the world.

Manpurse is the answer if you wanna get stared at or somthing. But use like an over the shoulder boy's bag or something before u try the man purse thing.

The Scots have something called a sporin. It is a little pouch worn an a belt around the waist and it's very handy for carrying stuff. But unless you're wearing full highland regalia along with the sporin, it looks kinda gay.

You can own a purse if you want to look gay.
