My husband is an E7 in the military and we decided to live apart till he retired. With his BAH he pays for our home and the Bills ( he gets $2k for BAH = overseas). Anyhow, I have a job that only pays 30k a year so i dont make ends meet with my paycheck (to many bills and a 2 kids to take care of on my own). I have been asking my husband for money but he feels that i should be able to to take care of us 3 with my paycheck. He has two other kids and pays them 800 dollars in child support. I have asked him to send us some extra money for trips (kids are in traveling sports) and he refuses and only sends me money for entry fee's. So the base pay he keeps and we see nothing, does anyone else see something wrong with this or is it just me or am I better off getting child support? He insists he pays for everything and yes he does but its because of us that he gets paid that extra money for our home.

I guess I'm not understanding you correctly - he pays for the house and all bills - you make 30K a year on top of that...how do you not have enough money???

He pays the house and the bills --- you make $30K and you can't make ends meet?

Sorry - I think you really need some budgeting help.

If you decide to get child support you are likely going to see $600ish a month at most......and then he is more than free to not pay a dime for anything else. His other child support will be taken into consideration.

By the way - my cousin divorced and Air Force man (officer) and only got $500 for two kids.

You need to buck up - get a budget and get a better job.

I'm having similar issues with my husband in that area. Basically, men are selfish azzes when it comes to money, and they have no idea how hard we women work and how unfair it is to be horders. Anyway, you need to just let him know loud and clear that he needs to pay more or else he will have to pay child support.

Get child support, and a better job.

Good luck.
