I once had a girlfriend who insisted that my favorite color was blue.
It's purple.
It turns out that I'm not alone. According to a study done by Cheskin, MSI-ITM, and CMCD/Visual Symbols Library (whoever they are) the "World's Favorite Color" is blue. After that it's purple.

Blue is Americas favorite color. Just like of denim everyone loves blue denim jean and everyone has a pair.

There was a psychological test done several years ago (I was in college, and I'm 44, so. . . never mind). Psychologists asked people to name a color, and most of them said "red." I'd say, based on that, most people would say red is their favorite color.
