1)"swaddle me" Swaddler (at babies r us....couldnt have lived without this!)
2) Small swing for next to the bed (helped rock newborn to sleep and kept him asleep for at least a few hours at a time)
3) Pacifier (helps baby fall asleep)
4) Onesies (for sleeping and wearing during the day...they wont be in much else!)
5) Sling baby carrier ( the ones that you tie over your shoulder..the baby goes in the front and they hold the baby close to you while you walk around etc....it helps to promote good sleep habits, closeness with your baby, reduces colic and promotes good breastfeeding habits)
These were my life savers...I left out the obvious basics such as bottles, diapers, cleaning cloths etc... since they are pretty much common knowledge and tried to go for the non typical but crucially important things for your baby and your sleep!!! :)

prerequisites: Disposable diapers - no matter when you're planning on using washables - newborn emissions are watery and forceful - 'nuff reported. Wipes - and warmth them by some ability previously using on infant - they are chilly! a good diaper bag - has to have a pad - something else is negotiable - a plus is in case you may also use it as a handbag - one a lot less element to lug replacing table or textile cloth cabinet at perfect factor - never take your eyes or hand off your infant at the same time as on the table (experience speaking - she's ok, i changed into fortunate) a good motor vehicle seat and understand a thanks to position in it and use it perfect A convertible stroller so little you'll lie down or sit up straight and is secure antagonistic to sunlight notwithstanding route you're going An infant provider (convertible so little you'll sit up straight or lie down) A bassinet for your bedside for first few months, then a danger-free crib later on All clothing to have snaps on the legs Lotsa onesies, sleepers - all clothing must be mushy Dreft or different infant-danger-free detergent infant swing - soothing for infant - a lifesaver for you once you want a damage infant bouncer - equivalent to swing, yet infant kicks and makes the bouncer bounce (floor factor) computer screen - can flow do stuff like cleansing or perhaps yardwork and shop an ear and eye on infant infant gates for stairs and stale-reduce rooms (and for isolating from dogs) previous towels, quilts for padding issues or overlaying parts for playing, mendacity on floor Coulda finished Withouts: Snugli - it changed into uncomfortable for me and they could get smushed in it - might want to be risky until eventually neck muscle mass are strong sufficient for infant to carry own head up Playpens at the same time as infant receives older - they hate being cooped up and separated from human beings infant bath - changed into awkward to apply - less difficult to line sink or bathtub with towel or foam pad infant blankets for crib - sleepers are safer (no pillows!) i'm positive there is extra notwithstanding it turned right into a lengthy time period in the past...good success and congratulations!!!
