I was thinking about getting an xbox 360 elite or a wii. if i got an xbox 360 i would also get Halo 3(9.5), naruto rise of ninja(8.5), and Bioshock(9.7), which would cost me around $629.96 + tax.
If i got a wii I would also get Zelda twilight princess(9.5), Mario strikers charged(8.3), Resident evil 4(9.0), Super Mario galaxy(9.7), and super paper mario(8.9). Which would cost me around $438.94. + tax

Which system is better? Which one is more fun? Which one will come out with cooler games? If i got the wii i would get more games for less money, but everyone says that the xbox 360 is way cooler. Please keep in mind that i also prefer quality vs. quantity. Also do you recommend any games??? Which games would you take out?
p.s.: the (#) next to the name of the game is the score it got.

Thanks for the help i really appreciate it.

We have both and the Wii is really fun but the games we play require more than just sitting there. lol After a long day I just want to sit there, relax, and not get carpal tunnel.. jk!

Wii for fun games or a Xbox 360 for real gaming

Archy has it wrong about backwards compatibility.

The Wii plays Gamecube games. As far as I've experienced, any Gamecube game will work with it. There is a place to plug in a Gamecube controller and a Gamecube memory card.

The Xbox 360 only plays some original Xbox games. There is a list at xbox.com. For the most part, the ones which work are the bigger and more recent titles.

By the way, I don't know how the Wii handles the mini-discs. You just shove a little mini-disc into the Wii regular sized disc slot and the machine accepts it just like any other disc.

A wii, definately. I have one and it feels like you are actually there on the screen playing. The wii is better, is better in quality, and the Wii will probably come out with cooler games. I suggest getting Mario Party 8, I have it and it is so much fun. Every game that I have tried on the wii is a lot of fun. I have never tried the xbox 360, but my friend has both the wii and the xbox 360 and she says the wii is better.

i have every console, but i think the wii is the best investment video game wise that i have made.
(especially if you like to have friends over to play)

the controls are very user friendly, so even your non-video game oriented friends can figure out how to play with you in a very short amount of time.

LoZ: twilight princess is such a hard game- it has paid itself off 100 times. I have been playing for about 81 hours and i am still not finished. out of all of the zelda games, i would say this one is the most challenging. IT IS INCREDIBLE.
Mario galaxy is pretty much like N64 mario, and mario strikers is just a good time, all the time.

long story short- you have such a variety of different games to choose from, where as xbox seems to have just a ton of shooters. (nothing wrong with that, i love fps, but variety is good also.)

anyway, good luck, and hopefully you will be welcomed into the wii army with open arms!
good luck, man!

I think wiis future looks better than xbox 360s future. wii has been selling out for a year now and nintendo will have more money to do cooler stuff with wii. Mario Galaxy is really awesome. I woud recommend wario ware and wii play if you want to have 2 wiimotes. dk country is the best downloaded game.

I would go with the Xbox 360 elite over the wii... because the wii is meant for the medium ish age... mostly close to like 8-10 ish...but there are some good games for older ppl... but the xbox 360 is meant for the hardcore gamers... id go with xbox 360 elite

Get a Nintendo Wii, it's much more fun. The games you chose for the Wii are cool, but I would take Resident Evil out for either Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 or Smackdown VS Raw 2008. Hey, when you get your Wii, play to the death hehehe. I can't wait till I can buy my own Wii.

This kind of depends on what games you like. If you have kids or don't like violent shooting games, get a Wii because they are fun and more kid friendly. If I were you though I would get an Xbox 360 because it is the best deal. It has fun online gameplay and has a great selection. The PS3 just doesn't have as much to offer from wat i hear. Get a 360.

Depends on your gaming preferences.

As far as raw power and greater variety of games then xbox wins it easily. But if you constantly have people over your house playing games with you then I'd recommend wii since thats the king of party games. If you are more into playing single player games or online games then you should pick an xbox. If you like playing platform games then you should go for a wii since most of their games are platform or party games. IF you're into shooters and adventure games then go for an xbox. Ultimately I prefer xbox 360 since its hd player is so cheap, its meant for an HD tv, i have a wide variety of games, the price doesnt hurt me and its not floundering like ps3 is. But the Wii is a great system for casual gamers. and to the previous poster, no u cannot play gamecube games on wii, gamecube used mini discs, with xbox 360 it is backwards compatible with xbox and soon you'll be able to d/l the games itself on xbox live if you want to (not for free of course).
