everyone looks silly when they dance, that's why i avoid it.

Elaine on Seinfeld or Pee Wee Herman and Steve Martin are just actors who were deliberately silly, just to be funny (Steve Martin is, in fact, a great dancer).
In real life, some people just look silly because they have a weird rhythm, as they say in France, they dance with "two left feet" and they have no dancing instructions.
Also, any ugly people, awkward or fat, will still be ugly, awkward or fat, when they're moving.
The only way to not look silly is to have a great body, great rhythm (I don't want to sound racist but black people have an edge there), some knowledge of the moves...then they look great when they let the music possess them.

Without insulting anyone, I think kids look silly when they dance because they are still learning and try to mimic what others do. It's cute.
