Ed Harley...Point well taken... I am a conservative with Libertarian leanings. I think that Reagan was the greatest.. That said, it is refreshing to see an actor actually man-up and stand up for a political position that isn't left wing crap ..and in this situation...support G.W.Bush in his endeavors to protect up from arbitrary terrorist attacks.

I have increasingly begun to ponder that undeniable link between choosing certain professions and political affiliation.

A recent survey showed that a minimum of 71% of journalists are liberal (83% if you figure that half of the journalists who claim they are "independents" are actually Liberal). That's a whopper of a figure!

Actors are of the same breed. The overwhelming number of them are Liberal. Usually the Liberal ones are also some of the most glaringly non-intellectual ones. However, there are stellar exceptions, such as Jodie Foster.

I just appreciate the fact that this guy has an amazingly well-rounded education and a keen intellect. Even though he would be more popular, and get more work in Hollywood if he didn't advertise his political affiliation so much, he is brave enough to come forward and give people something of substance to think about.

I'm impressed. It is refreshing to see such a thought-out, concise, intelligent opinion from an actor. I get tired of the published rants of any random jackhole that makes their living pretending to be something they are not.

Check out this story about Denzel Washington. It got exaggerated, but the true part is still pretty encouraging.

I'm not you, so I have no idea what thoughts he provoked for you. Well founded can only be a liberal view of this article. Mr. Silver compares himself to JFK, FDR, Ronald Reagan and George Bush all in the same sentence.

This is typical liberal drivel attempting to be all things to all people instead of having a set of core beliefs that direct his views and actions.

When Bill Clinton won in 1992, he was on film pointing to military aircraft and saying "those are OUR airplanes now!" That should say it all!
