Catholics, blacks, hispanics, and immigrants. Some of the biggest Democratic voting blocks spened the most of christmas related products.

The "left" is quick to banish this crap about Santa Clause, but that's what many christians want to help remember the religous significance of the holiday!

While Bill O'Really wished me a "Happy Kwanzaa" on the spin zone last year. What's that all about?

"Some of the biggest Democratic voting blocks spened the most of christmas related products."

as a feeble minded right wing robot I dont think Christmas is about who spends the most on Christmas related products. Its about family and friends, giving and sharing, and rejoicing in life and the things we are greatful for. Maybe that is the problem that none conservatives and even some conservatives have lost the true meaning of the real important things in life for the consumerization of society. But hey what do I know.

initially, this can be a ludicrous concern and bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh are the kind of idiots who were given us into this mess. That reported, if a shop needs to do an Arbor Day promotion or one for Franklin Pierce's birthday, so be it. when I do use those greetings, I say "Merry Christmas" to kin and individuals i understand extremely properly and "have a good holiday" to all and assorted else I see in December and probably received't see back until eventually after the twenty fifth.

lol, what? Most people that aren't Jewish and don't celebrate Kwanzaa, and aren't Muslim DO celebrate Christmas, either as a religious or a pagan holiday, and usually both. I don't know where you get the idea that one celebrates more than the other because in my experience everyone seems to get excited about it.

I was also not aware that Catholics was one of the biggest Democratic voting blocks.

I also did not know that you could rate the amount one celebrates Christmas by how much they spend on it. I can celebrate Christmas just as much as you and not spend money (although, being conservative, I probably will spend a good deal more than you).

Christmas is celebrated verily equally among liberals and conservatives. They all have children and want to provide some magic in those dreary Decemeber days. Also, providing for the kids what the real meaning is. I don't think one group has it over the other.
As for O'Reilly, watch something else. The radical right and the radical left should be ignored.

Feeble minded? Speak for yourself.

I don't see your point. Unless you've personally polled every single liberal and conservative in America about whether they celebrate Christmas or not, you have no proof of such a ridiculous accusation.

On the other hand, the left are the ones who tried to get everyone to say "Happy holidays!" instead of "Merry Christmas!" last year because it would supposedly be less offensive and cause less controversy. Isn't it fascinating how it WAS offensive and caused even MORE controversy? Now you tell me which side is feeble minded about this issue.

Now, the actual stat you alluded to is holiday /spending/, right.

Well the religions stereotypically associated with the right - Protestant, fundamentalist, evangellical, and I guess, Mormon - are less into material outlay for such celebrations.

OTOH, Catholics are into that sort of thing, manger scenes, nice presents, etc. And secularists - the /really/ big liberal 'religion' - though they might celebrate 'Xmass' or 'The Holidays,' do like to spend spend spend.

I think that'd explain it.

Not sure where you are getting your stats from. I just checked them and Catholics are voting more Republican than Dem. In '04 they solidly backed Bush.

That being said, what is the relevance of your question?

I ignore Christmas entirely, but its nice getting the time off from work. I also don't buy presents and don't mess with cards or trees. One can keep one's sanity and bank account that way.
