i can't find out the reason..
it runs, it takes a while for it to get up to speed
it clunks when i put it in reverse

i've took it to several mechanics they have all said different things.

the last one said it has something to do with the electrical.
because he tried flashing the engine to reset everything, and that didn't work.

can someone help me find out whats wrong with it ?

it sounds to me like your trans might be in limp in. it will have reverse and 2nd gear only. it will clunk when you put it in gear because the clutches geed off the manual valve instead of the solenoids. take it to a dealer.

and along with the rear trans mount, that can allow the motor to torque around and wear the motor mounts which in turn allow the motor to move enough to crack the air intake boot for the FI system (normally on the bottom where you can't see it). The end result is when you step on the gas it allows extra air in and the engine bogs down or stalls. It happened just like that on my Intrepid.

Well, I can tell you what the clunk is. I mean, if you can feel it starting to pull backward after it clunks. It's the rear tranmission mount. They all do that, eventually, when all the rubber falls out of the mount.

Try taking it to a Chrysler dealership. Their mechanics are trained specifically in Chryslers.

It'll cost more but take it to a Chrysler dealer. Nobody knows the car better than them.

If it's a 3.5, check to see if the timing belt has slipped.
