I'm sure it is possible mathematically but it would sure be a long shot.

NO,, they can't win the SEC East.. Georgia has only one SEC game left.. If they lose they tie Florida with identical 5 & 3 records.. Georgia holds the tie breaker by beating Florida.

YES.
Here's the scenario though: Florida ONLY wins the SEC East if it's a THREE-way tie between Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
This is due to Florida having the better record against SEC East teams (4-1). The head-to-head matchup tie-breaker would not be a factor because each team has beaten one and lost to the other. (UF beat UT and lost to UGA) (UGA beat UF and lost to UT) (UT beat UGA and lost to UF) so there is no clear head-to-head winner.
IF it results in a TWO-way tie with Florida and Georgia, then Georgia wins it.
Since Georgia defeated Kentucky today, we now know that a TWO-way tie between UF and UT is not a possibility.
Georgia has to lose to Georgia Tech next week..
Tennessee HAS to lose against Kentucky next week...
So to all the Florida fans out there, hope for a THREE-way tie and our Gators will go to Atlanta.

Soul Dawg is right. Florida's fate will be cut or continued tomorrow based on the UK-UGA game. If UK wins, UF still stands a chance in the East. If UGA wins, UF is out... either way, as a Florida fan, I am hoping UT loses to someone. Florida and Georgia both deserve to go before UT.

Yeah they could go...Tenn or UGA could drop a game, but it's doubtful. Dangerous game for my Tigers either way, ...remember a few years back when all the Vols had to do was win the SECC game to play in the NC game? Well, a 3 loss LSU went into Atlanta and spanked their a** and pi**ed on their parade. Hope history don't repeat itself, because of that memory, the Vols may be the most dangerous, payback is *****.

Yes.
All it'll take is for Georgia to lose to Kentucky and for Tennessee to lose to either Vandy or Kentucky. There would be a 3-way tie at 5-3, and it has already been determined that the Gators would get the nod in a three-way tie.

I dont even think its a mathematical possibility anymore. Tennessee and Georgia are the only two in the running for the east.
