Gore is not interested but yeah sure...this is what really needs to happen:
1) Ranked choice voting, like we have here in San Francisco: in 2000 I voted for Nader, my second choice would have been Gore, this means votes are not wasted and there is no "spoiler" effect or blame game and the Green Party would have gained by qualifying for matching Federal funding.
2) Public financing of elections with unbiased equal access of candidates to the media. Corporate funding of elections is undemocratic and corrupt at its very core.
3) Presidential debates should once again be run by the League of Women Voters not the corrupt Corporate funded Commission on Presidential Debates which is run by Democrats and Republicans who rig the game by excluding 3rd party candidates and even threatened Ralph Nader with arrest in 2000.
If Hillary Clinton is the democrat nominee I will vote for the Green Party (I joined in 2006 after 30 years as a Democrat) nominee (it may be Cynthia McKinney.)

Interesting question. I like what Kucinich stands for, but thus far, I'm not sure whether he has the administrative abilities and political savvy to be a good leader. Unfortunately, the media treats him as a joke, so it's hard to get to know him.
And if "legitimacy" is what we're after, we'd probably need somebody closer to the political center. Maybe Biden or Edwards, for example.
Gore would be an asset for the Green Party, but you know that's just a fantasy. He'd never leave the Dems. (Nor would Biden. Edwards, maybe.)

According to a recent Faux News Poll. Only 40% of Americans would vote for Gore if the General Election was tommorow....
Lets take the spin out of this.........
roughly the country is divided 50/50 Rep/Dem...
Not one canidate has over 30% of their parties vote.
Stay with me here.. So 30% of 50% is 15% of the total vote...
Gore even though he is not running has 40% of the total vote...
I could vote for that party!!!!
It would not be another Nadar, but Repubes keep bring it up... It would hurt the Repubes more then the Dems because it would bring out Voters that don't want to pick Repubes or Dems...

I have to agree with Shinji. I am against Gore and his carbon tax. The carbon tax is just another scam, to take money from the people and use it to line the pockets of the so called elite.
I will also vote for the Green Party Candidate if I don't like either of the candidates of the two main parties. *sm*

If Gore ran as a third-party candidate it would split the Democratic party and the Republicans would win.

Unfortunately 3rd party candidates are at a disadvantage in the current system and even when they get enough attention all they seem to do is steal votes from the party that most closely matches the 3rd party's views causing the opposing party to win. (How's that for a major run-on sentence? lol)

Gore will not run for President. He has learned first-hand how deep and dank that hole is. He *did* win the election, you know.
But in the world of make-believe, SURE. If that was the ticket running, I'd be the first one in line on voting day to cast my vote for that combination!

Keep in mind that Gore wants to institute a Carbon Tax for global warming. Let me remind you that according to NASA, our sun is burning hotter (remember the huge solar flares a few years back, knocked out power in Canada etc.?), and the result of this is not only the global warming we are experiencing. Ice caps on Mars are melting, and surfaces of moons around Jupiter and Saturn that are normally frozen are becoming more liquid. Is this the kind of scam artist you would really vote for?
How much would his Carbon Tax cost the American people? I will tell you... it will make the poor more poor... and make the rich even more rich. Our cost of living is spiralling out of control under the weight of a steadily falling dollar. Think about it.
