if you are going to actualyl get rid of the cds, and for best quality audio, i suggest you rip the music at "lossless", instead of the standard 128kbps, it comes out in the 800-1000 kbps, and the difference is pretty big.

no, do not get rid of your CD's but you can still get an MP3 player. Everyonce in a while it is nice to have CD's and in order to put some music on ur MP3 player you will need your CDs unless they are already on your computer.

You could sell many of your cds like I did at a boot sale for 50p upwards and then get depressed afterwards as you bought those cds for £15 or so each. I have all my songs on my computer, I've kept the most important cds and scrapped the rest for pittance. Make sure you backup your songs..

No, even though you transferred all your music to your MP3, these Cd's will serve as your back ups. If I were you, I would still keep them for future reference.

why would i care?
but if you do choose to get an mp3 player, it is a good idea to either keep the cds or make backup copies of them somewhere in case something bad happens to your computer and you lose them.

no no no, in case you like need a new computer and need to upload them alll again, and if your mp3 breaks, you wont have your songs, so dont cos its just like a waste of money then, but you can still just use it in your car, cos its easier

I have around 1,000 CDs.
I don't own an mp3 player,
But then I prefer quality, not quantity...
