Don't understand why you don't go directly to Dell. They used to have a program called "build your own."

You may or may not be able to buy the tower only. You must understand that the vast majority of users buy a new set.

If you do buy a new set (CPU, monitor, keyboard, mouse) you could probably sell the new, unwanted items on eBAY, but if it were me, I would keep all the new - which probably work well together - instead of trying to match old devices with a new tower. Probably much less aggravation in the long term. Additionally, a new set from Dell would all have warranties. You should watch sales this weekend. The weekend just before Thanksgiving is sure to be a good one for specials.

One of the best deal sites to visit on getting a computer "Dell" or any other good deals is here

http://www.dealnews.com

Consumers actually report the best deals here, so keep watch and you can find some amazing stuff cheaper than normal.

check out this dell deal
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&kc=&oc=brmw0gc

If you dont mind a mini tower, its only 419 bucks.

Has a core 2 duo processor, 1gb of ram, Dell 19 inch Widescreen E198WFP Analog Flat Panel Monitor, etc...

If the link above doesnt work. then go to dell.com and search for this code
brmw0gc

Its also on the deal news site.
