Like Barbara L, I'm also a diabetic with sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea causes you to "wake up" frequently during the night. I say "wake up" because it's not like waking up...you don't know you wake up. Some people do it every few seconds. You don't get restorative sleep that way. If you still have tonsils, if you're over weight, if you snore, if you have a lot of fat in your neck...all these things could be causing sleep apnea.

What happens is the wind pipe closes and you startle awake because you can't breathe, but it's fast and shallow so you don't even know it's happening. Talk to a doctor about a sleep study.

A big cause of tiredness is dehydration. Try drinking alot of purified water and watermelon. Try going for long walks or jogs. Get colonics; maybe you are not absorbing nutrients properly.

have you been tested for sleep apnea, or diabetes. i have sleep apnea, and i need 10 to 12 hours sleep, plus naps due to being diabetic. see your doctor to get tested for diabetes, and ask for a sleep study. most diabetics show when fasting, mine was different, i had to eat before getting tests ran to show i was diabetic. when ever i eat, i get sleepy, i have fallen a sleep talking on the phone. take care, and good luck to you.

Barbara L has some good advice. Also have the doctor test for low blood iron. It also can make you tired.
Good luck.

maybe you're getting too much sleep. try like, 8-9 hours a day every day. it might get better.
