I'm doing a report on nitrogen and i really need an A.

if you are only writing the symbol, then yes, otherwise, no.

If you want to pass the class report on nitrogen, you should capitalize ALL elements every time that it is used. Think of the capitalization like a sentence; the first part (which would be the C) would be capitalized and the rest of the sentence would not be capitalized would be (u). Note, I used copper for this example since nitrogen only has one 'initial" ( N ).

No, element names are not generally capitalized.

yes becuase it is a proper noun and an imprtant element...so you should capitalize the N for the abbreviation...but if you are just saying the word Nitrogen then you dont have to capitalize it you can just put"nitrogen"

No, it is not a proper name (although I do make the mistake of capitalizing it often).

yes you should but it wont matter much

You're a lot more likely to get an A based on content not whether you capalitalized elemental names
