I NEVER notice them until they are pointed out to me. I wonder if maybe I am just too involved in the storyline to catch them, or maybe I am just not very observant.

most people are hired to do by companies that own sites like imdb.com etc. They watch the movies several times over and are pay attention to specific scenes etc. that's how they do it.

I usually pick up on continuity errors. Sometimes it doesn't hit me til I'm in the car driving home and thinking about the movie, but most of the time I catch it as it happens. Plot and storyline make the movie for me, and if something doesn't jive it really annoys me.
Other goofs, like a power line in an old west movie or a 50's station wagon in a film set in the 30's, I usually don't catch.

I don't know about others but I always spot even the smallest of errors. It's kinda fun to just see how many goof up you can spot in one single movie, and their are many sometimes.

it's called observation. If you watch closely and pay attention to all the little details then you will, eventually find some mistake in it. I always find at least one in every movie. it's actually cool because most people never find them and it's great, you tell them and and they're like wow i would have never spotted that! jaja. it's great!

Depends on the error, sometimes it's seeing the movie more then once, where I catch something that should have been edited.

I don't usually notice them in movies - I do in tv shows though. I know if a plot doesn't mesh with what was said even several seasons back. I don't know how I do it.

i tend to notice them from time to time, ive got a weird photographic memory though and sometimes that stuff stands out

its a hobby for sumppl...especially for those with good or great eyesight...me, i love to do it because it bugs my friends when we go to the movies together...and i have learned that i have missed goofs, but not no more! thanks to HD TV!!!!
