How did you cope? And did you get any payback?

My payback is these wankers are still living their glory days of high school and are incredibly lonely sad people. I don't need anymore than that.

You know something...I was the one that did the bullying. I know why I did it now. But at the time it felt like I had power over kids that I could bully. I didn't hurt anyone physically but I look back on how it must have been for them during those school years. I would get people not to like certain people or to like certain people and I had no right to do that. I suffer with what I did and how I treated certain kids...the people that are bullying you will too if that is any satisfaction. What I liked was when they showed that it was bothering them or if they cried...don't allow any of the bully's to see it gets to you AT ALL..then it isn't fun or worth their time and they will respect you for not cowarding to them.I'm sorry they are doing this to you.

I was bullied all through school. My payback came in the form of a letter to the Reunion Committee when I got the invite to my 5-year reunion. I very eloquently stated how my high school years, unlike those of most people, were the worst years of my life and why would I risk the dignity, self-esteem and self-respect I had gained since high school just to be "reunited" with the very people who crapped on those very things in the first place? It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulder. Three members of the Committee called me, one crying, one speechless, and one saying "we were just kids, we've grown up since then." It was nice to purge myself of the hard feelings and put them on someone else's shoulders for a change.

That was 20 years ago...I'm 40 now, look 30, and see some of them now who look 20 years older than me and downright haggard. Payback enough:)

How did I cope? I lost myself in books and music (rock). Once out in the real world, I realized how asinine those people had really been LOL Bullies get theirs eventually.

Yeah, I was bullied... and a bully to one kid during Jr. High. Looking back on it I feel like an *******... but it's just the way things are I guess. If I met the guy, I'd apologize and wish him a good life, but the chances of that ever happening seem fairly slim.

Do want revenge for the number of dicks that treated me like crap? No... not really, it'd be a waste of my time. I have better things to do that wallow in my bleak, melodramatic teenage past.

I was from about 5th grade on. I mean mine wasn't the worse case of bullying, but it still effected me. The same thing has basically happened to the people who bullied me. I'm only 21 so high school wasn't that far back... but most of those people either didn't go to college, got kicked out of college, or dropped out of college and are currently working a minimal wage job, and live with their parents.

As a kid I was definitely a victim of bullying.

My payback? I became more successful then them and I am incredibly happy... More then I can say for them last I heard. especially the one in jail !

I'm 38 now ...

PS... Love the red hair !

I just focused on doing well. Now I'm doing great, and I doubt many of those that were problems are doing so well.
But I do wish them well, as I am beyond petty feuds.
As for how I coped, it was all about keeping my eyes on the prize, so to speak. Looking to making a real and successful life.
I hope you did just as well.

yes, every single day during elementary school, tormented and made fun of fun because of my name! I cried myself to sleep every night.

Payback - nah, I just learned from it. I learned that I need to make my children stronger and as a parent to be attentive to what is going on in their school. Be a more involved parent.

Actually, I was. Seventh grade was pure hell...

But about eight years later, the bully was making a delivery to my work and recognized me. He gave me a huge appology and explained why he had the issues, not me.

I think we should have a national slogan: "BULLIES ARE LOSERS WITH ISSUES". Nobody would be proud to be one then, right?

My goodness, who would have ever picked on you? You look like a doll. . .anyway, yes, I was a victim. No, sadly, I never got revenge. I'm just glad those days are behind me.

If my daughter ever experienced what I did (she's nearing jr. high), I'd raise holy hell!!

I wasn't bullied, but... isnt it a very refresshing feeling when you grow up and realize that it really doesn't matter who you were or what your status was in highschool once you get out in the real world?
