I would suggest sticking to only summer and/or holiday work, if anything. Take it from someone who worked two to three jobs for probably 10 years. It is REALLY hard to keep your life together when you work too much. You will not make enough money to make up for the time and attention that you will lose. I constantly felt like everything was hanging on by a thread. As a result, a lot of things went unnoticed... that should not have. Planning a wedding is going to take a lot of your time. If you fill your free time with work, you won't get nearly as much done. It's better to stick to a budget and be smart about where you spend your money. When the wedding is over, no one is going to remember your napkins, the flowers, the decortions... Many won't even remember the dress. And wedding favors are often thrown away. All they will remember is if the food was good and if they had fun.

I picked strawberries. It was cool because we got paid by how many strawberries we picked. When I was young I thought that concept was awesome.

Incidentally, I used to wait tables, and although I have a great job now with great pay, I have been considering waiting on tables 2 or 3 nights a week to make some new friends. Resturant people are great to party with.

Cashier/Ice Cream scooper at a place called the Gelateria in Sandy Springs, GA. I like it at first until the owner got cheap and started making me close up by myself. I was 16 and left there ALONE from 6pm-9pm and then wouldn't get out of there until 10 or 10:30. I worked M-Th and Sundays 3-close. I worked there for about 4 months.

Not including babysitting, etc, my first job was in a grocery store deli. It was ok. Nothing exciting.

Except that my ex-boyfriend worked there and one day when I was working, my mother came in at about the same time as two of my friends. My mothers back was toward me - like she was looking outside - and my friends were facing toward me, talking to my mother. Up the aisle comes the ex - my two friends wave at him (well, we were young, and you know how snotty you can be when you are young). Right as he flips them off, my mother turns around and sees him. He got fired right then and there.

Mine was a stock guy at K-Mart, it was okay, but later on they moved me up to Pantry Assistant. That was great. It was all the fun of stock, but minus all the bad stuff. [No pay raise though :-( LOL]
