the brown (left speaker) and orange (right speaker) wires are negative (-); the blue (right speaker) and gray (or yellow) (left speaker) wires are positive (+) I think the wire you are referring to as "white" is actually "gray".

all four wires come directly from the audio unit.

Orange=Right
Brown=Left / NEGATIVE

Blue=Right
White/Yellow=Left / POSITIVE
