What exactly is being charming, and having a presence and how do you know if you've got it??
Example of a male person who I've heard has a presence and is charming is George Clooney
For a female I've heard of carrie underwood
So What is it and how do you know if you've got it?

aka charisma.
it's basically someone who can walk into a room and everyone turns around and goes "hey!" they're well-liked and friendly.

It's pretty much the same as charisma, and people with charisma seem to rarely be negative, sarcastic in a negative way, bitter, or pessimistic, and are often witty and fun.
I also consider Bob Barker, Alan Alda, and John Ratzenberger to be charismatic.
