The TV show is spelled "Grey's", however, as a play on the title of the famous medical book "Anatomy of the Human Body" (aka "Gray's Anatomy") by Henry Gray.
As to the color, "gray" is more common in the US and "grey" in the UK. "Greyhound", however, always requires an "e".
