I hate it when people think this way. People of any ethnicity can fight for equality and be accused of "turning their back on their own race." How ignorant. Race is a fallacy - the lines are completely arbitrary. If you have a kid with someone from a different culture, teach them both cultures! Teach them both languages! They'll already have a leg up on most kids in America.

I have no pride in my fellow human beings who think this way.

Preservation of race or "purity" of race isn't really possible, nor is it healthy genetically or evolutionarily. IR couples are the future!

I don't have a problem with interracial relationships or mixing. I usually like dark skinned guys(I still like some light skinned guys) and that doesn't mean I don't have pride in my own ethnicity or that I'm a traitor. That's like saying somebody isn't proud to be a 25 year old because they're with a 24 year old. And I don't care about preservation I'm already sorta mixed anyway(I have a tiny bit Native American) and even if I wasn't mixed it wouldn't matter to me.

In this day and age, people think just of themselves, and their own personal happiness. While I do believe that one shouldn't have their partner chosen for them by someone else, I also strongly believe, that in the decisions one makes, even personal decisions, they should think beyond themselves.

The responses have shown a mentality where people think that no one has an right to interfere with your own personal happiness. To a degree, that is right. But regardless, we still should be making decisions with other people in mind.

I believe that white people have every right to express interest in preserving their uniqueness and culture. After all, I sincerely hope no one here would argue against indigenous peoples world wide when they say they wish to preserve their people, so why should it be different for whites?

White people, just like any other group, are part of humanity, and each one of us have our differences, our uniqueness which was given by nature. If, in all western nations and only western nations, there was large degrees of intermarriage then a unique group of people will be assimilated out.

We all respect diversity, we all respect the different ethnic groups on this planet and none of us would want to do anything to make one group of people become history.
But that needs to include us as well. We should consider the future we leave behind, and even though we believe we have the right to marry who we like, we also have to weigh that up with whether we have the right to change or work towards making a race or ethnic group history.

LOL! That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.
I think it shows great pride in your culture/race to share it with others, and learning about other people's cultures/race simply adds to your knowledge and wealth of experience - it doesn't "replace" your own culture.

you can't "preserve" humans. You can preserve yourself. But you can't enforce that on us. We are not elephants or rare whale species in Indian ocean. I love different cultures, that is why I love interracial relationships. Yeah I have "pride" in my culture. And that doesn't affect my relationship with someone of a different culture. And incase it does , I am willing to leave my "pride" of my culture for love.

No. And what exactly is racial "preservation"? Everyone is allowed to love, marry, and/or breed with whomever they choose. Nobody else has a right to dictate that sort of personal life decision to others.

If you chose to confine your personal relationships to people of your own race and culture, then that is your preference. There is no reason for you to broadcast this choice, and the rest of us don't really need to know this information.

Every race has it's different physical characteristics. Yes. And this characteristics are BREEDED as a genetic standard - in animal breeding.

Human beings are not breeded (not yet) and they have hardly genetic differences . Therefore there aren't races.

I guess this is a violation of the guidelines ...

How is interacting with other people a denunciation of your
own pride? or better yet being traitor! That thought process
is delusional and makes no sense at all. In America its
virtually impossible not to interact with people of other
cultures!

I dont see it as being a 'race traitor', 'sellout', 'no pride' etc. I see it as two people of different race/ethnicities and culures coming together to develop a loving, meaningful relationship. Im black and my boyfriend is white.... we are a beautiful interracial couple. Im very into myself being a beautiful black woman and I dont have any form of 'self-hatred'; it is actually the opposite with me.

No Stereotyping your on a roll. I'm white (my fiance is black) and proud to be white whomever sees my being in an interracial relationship as my being a "traitor" or a having no pride in who I am can go jump in the lake.
