Stress can play a BIG factor in your menstrual cycle.. I wouldnt be too worried just yet, also losing weight can mess up your cycle also.. but just to be on the safe side, You could always get an early response preg. test
Amenorrhea can be caused by any number of changes in the organs, glands, and hormones involved in menstruation.
Other causes of secondary amenorrhea include:
Stress
Poor nutrition
Depression
Certain drugs
Extreme weight loss
Over-exercising
Ongoing illness
Sudden weight gain or being very overweight (obesity)
Hormonal imbalance due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
Thyroid gland disorders
Tumors on the ovaries or brain (rare)
hope this helps.. i got some of the info at www.webmd.com
very informational site if you want to look further!!

Yes, it does delay your period. Depression can also delay it. You have to know that you can get your period from the 21-32 day or you period, so you can have had 28 days after already but still haven't go it. You cannot be pregnant unless you have had sex without protection.

only you know if you are at risk for pregnancy however stress, illness and the like can cause a delay in your period.one day late is not really an indicator anyway give it a few weeks then try a pregnancy test if you are still late. otherwise try to relax take care of your cold and forget about it. If it is stress then it will come before you know it. good luck

Yes, it could, but if this has been happening for several months many different factors could be attributing to this, weight loss, improper nutrition and hormonal imbalances can all delay periods. I would seek help, if not for the delayed periods than the chronic stress.

Stress, weight loss and illness can ALL delay a period. Don't worry about.

My period always changes by a day or so every month (i.e- it was on the 1st one month, and ended up changing to the 21st over the course of a few months.) A day late is no biggie. I would wait until a week late to test, if you feel you may be pregnant. Because you are sick and are stressed, that very well may have effected your cycle. I know mine is pretty sensitive and if I am sick that screws it up! Have you recently changed birth control? If so, that could have something to do w/ the cycle delay as well.

Absolutely. Stress can cause irregular bleeding, late or early periods, even missed periods. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless there are other symptoms involved or if you go a month or more without a period.
